Meet Our Trainers

Frances Michaelson

Frances Michaelson

Frances owns and operates the MUSCLEUP Personal Training Centre in Baie d'Urfé, where she trains and counsels her many clients along with several other trainers and practitioners. MUSCLEUP's Product Division has also been distributing exercise products to fitness clubs, schools, homes, and personal trainers across Canada for over 25 years. Where most people have no trouble investing with a financial advisor, Frances likes to think of herself as a "health advisor" by encouraging more people to invest in their personal health. Adding a naturopathy license to her personal training practice has brought her career full circle. She is also the proud author of "BYOB: Bring Your Own Band" (book and mini-band package), and she writes a weekly fitness column in her local community newspaper.

Tanya Armstrong

Tanya Armstrong

I first got into the fitness industry because I wanted to learn how to train myself, which turned into wanting to help others look and feel better. I've been in the industry for about 6 years now. Physical training is such a high that I think everyone should engage in any activity that they enjoy. I am fascinated by athletes who take physical training to the highest level which motivates me to do more.
I enjoy music, wrestling, friends, family and simply loving life. Age isn't anything but a number and training keeps you from feeling old. The secret to staying young is also staying young at heart! :-)
Marc Pilon

Marc Pilon

Marc's passion for the active lifestyle began at the age of 15 when he competed in the BMX Free-Style competitions across North America, where he ranked no.2 in Canada and 3rd in the United States. This led to years of training and exercising and eventually a PT certification. Marc's clients range from competitive athletes to an 88 year old stroke survivor. "I love showing people how to achieve their goals. It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you're not."
Steve Maier
